Bhaskar Mitra
Dr. Bhaskar Mitra is a Power Systems Engineer with the Distribution Systems group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). He earned his master’s and doctorate in electrical engineering at University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his bachelor’s, also in electrical engineering, at West Bengal University of Technology. He was a Postdoctoral Research associate at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) between 2020-2022, involved in smart vehicle grid integration and high-performance computing-based dynamically adaptive protection in electric grids, Irrigation Modernization and led a tool development (HydroGenerate) before joining PNNL in 2022. He is currently leading several projects funded by OE, SETO, and Department of State at PNNL. Bhaskar currently serves as a reviewer for several IEEE and IET journals. He is currently serving as the chapter lead for CIGRE B4/A3.86 Joint Working Group.
