Connor Hunt
Connor Hunt graduated from Missouri University of Science & Technology in 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and an emphasis in Power & Energy. He now works as a Transmission Substation Design Engineer at Ameren, where many of his projects include adding renewable energy connections to the transmission power grid. Connor is currently training to become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on his team for all High-Voltage Instrument Transformer (HVIT) material and applications. In Missouri, Connor is an active EIT. He recently passed the NCEES Electrical and Computer PE: Power Exam and plans to obtain his PE licensure within the next two years. During his time at Missouri S&T, Connor held officer positions in both the IEEE Student Branch and the Gamma Theta Chapter of HKN. As a young professional, Connor is a part of IEEE PES with plans to join the Transformer Committee. While away from the desk, Connor enjoys volunteering in the local St. Louis area (with organizations such as Habitat For Humanity, St. Louis Area Foodbank, and Special Olympics Missouri). He is also a member of Powering Connection for All Abilities (PCAA), one of Ameren’s Employee Resource Groups dedicated to providing support, community, and education for coworkers with disabilities and their friends. Looking forward, Connor is determined to continue learning through his Substation Design and HVIT roles to better prepare himself for whatever opportunities lie ahead!
