Dave Michelson

Prof. David G. Michelson leads the Radio Science Lab at the University of British Columbia. He is the 2026-27 Chair of the IEEE Communications History Committee and immediate past Chair of the IEEE History Committee. He will serve as General Chair of IEEE HISTELCON 2027 to be held in Ottawa in October 2027. An active contributor to the history of technology for more than two decades, he has been either a member or corresponding member of the IEEE History Committee since 2012. He is also a member of the Society for the History of Technology (and its Special Interest Group on Telecommunications History) and a member of the History and Archives Committee of the Engineering Institute of Canada.
