Jeff Egan

Jeff Egan is a Principal Recruiter at Amazon in his 13th year at the company. He started his career in recruiting with Clearwire hiring sales professionals. At Amazon, Jeff started recruiting for technical professionals such as Software Engineers, Technical Program/Product Managers and Software Development Managers. In 2016, he accepted a role to lead recruiting for Applied Research Scientists for a confidential initiative. This team was later unveiled as Amazon Go, the shopping experience that removes checkout lines and promotes you to Just Walk Out. Jeff also recruited computer vision talent for Amazon One (pay-by-palm technology), and Dash Carts (grocery carts that detect items as they are placed in the container). His top professional passions are mentorship, career development and candidate experience. When Jeff is not at work, he loves spending time with his wife, son (4 years) and daughter (4 months) as well as committing himself to the relentless journey of being a middle-of-the-road golfer.
