Joe Greene
Joseph Greene is a 5th year Ph.D. candidate in the Computational Imaging Systems Lab at Boston University. He specializes in jointly developing flat optics with deep learning-based algorithms to realize next-generation miniaturized head-mounted platforms to image the brains of freely behaving animals and push fundamental neuroscience. Within IEEE-HKN, Joe has served as a chapter officer for the Kappa Sigma chapter between 2018 – 2021, where he helped led his chapter from reactivation to outstanding chapter recognition. He additionally was twice elected to the HKN Board of Governors from 2020 – 2022 where he helped mentor chapter leaders, organize international programs and develop programs to impact chapters. For the last two years, Joe has led HKN’s graduate student programs where he has developed the GradLab podcast, HKN’s first professional-to-student mentoring program and graduate-focused events to help graduate student get inducted, network and find resources to succeed.
