Vickie Ozburn
Vickie Ozburn is an IEEE Senior member and active volunteer for over 18 years. She has held several positions in IEEE, MGA, Region and Section (see activities section). Her roles have set strategies and goals for the benefit of the organization. She brings forth many creative ideas and initiatives. In addition to simply suggesting things, she lays out explicit courses of action and steps to assist our members obtain those goals. Vickie has dedicated her efforts to help assist others, both professionally and personally. Vickie has over 30 years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry at Collins Aerospace. She has held several technical and management roles including software development, engineering management, IT management, project management, she is currently leading an advanced manufacturing team. As an IT manager she helped lead large SAP deployments as well as multiple MRP projects and programs across Collins Aerospace. She was responsible for ensuring that the day to day operations of a specific process within an internal business area is running efficiently. Supporting users and how the business process is implemented. In her current role her team supports Avionics ERP system and manufacturing tools across Collins Aerospace. She was awarded the Cedar Rapids Section Ted A. Hunter Award for outstanding individual service in furthering the purposes and objectives of the Section and IEEE, she is a founding member of Cedar Rapids Section WIE Affinity Group and continues to lead and organize events, she also formed PES Society as Section Chair. Vickie holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Mount Mercy University, B.A. in Business from Coe College, and MBA from Nova Southeastern University. Vickie also serves as a member of the United Way East Central Iowa, Women United Steering Committee, and the Women United Membership Chair, she also volunteers as the LWML National Convention Food Service Manager which meets bi-anually attracting over 3,000 attendees.
